The first green little leaves are starting to appear
on the barren winter trees.
Although this was a very cold and windy day,
you can feel spring is in the air.

Spring makes me want to kiss and picnic and run and create,
I know,
but not yet.

I have to still grow so tall, like this little pilea peperomioides of mine.

A little chair cushion I am making
for my love's new home.

We will sit on them
and drink our french press coffee, black
very early in the morning.

Tuesday, March 3

It has been four years since my grandmother passed away,
and today is her birthday.
I bought her a little plant that she used to call 'Snoffeltjes',
and crocheted a little ochre yellow basket for it
with cotton yarn that used to be hers as well.

Happy birthday dearest grandma.

Monday, March 2

Little by little,
I have started to gather things for my future home.
These pot holders I made from hemp fiber rope,
will be perfect to serve my home-made dishes on.
